Lavo is a relative newcomer to Las Vegas but it comes from a superlative pedigree. The visionary genius’ behind the immensely successful and wildly popular Tao Asian Bistro and Nightclub, designed and created Lavo Restaurant and Nightclub at the Palazzo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Although Lavo has only been open for less than three years, it is already established itself as the place to be, when in Vegas.
Lavo is designed like Tao with a restaurant and lounge attached to the nightclub but this is where the similarities between the two end. The nightclub’s aesthetic is a modern take on a Moroccan and classical motifs. The club’s design and décor is not only alluring, it’s enchanting.
There is a screened bridge that leads the way to the nightclub which is designed with vaulted glazed tile arches that open to the main room featuring a domed ceiling above the dance floor. Interspersed around the club are mirror mosaic tile niches and leather walls.
On two walls of the club, there are paintings of reclining nude women taking up the entire wall. The paintings are done in a classical motif that scream sexy but classy and adds to the Mediterranean ambience of the club. There are elegant and exotic chandeliers throughout the whole club but the centerpiece chandelier resplendently hangs directly over the dance floor, emanating lucent warmth across the entire club.
For Vegas standards, the dance floor is smaller but this just adds to the charm of Lavo. Intimate, warm and energetic vibes swell throughout the club.
The club has a tangible personality and a spirit that makes everyone feel like a celebrity. When a bottle of premium booze is ordered, a man dressed as Superman will appear and be held up high by a host of servers, creating the illusion that he’s flying to your table. The music will stop and they’ll present the bottle in spotlight.
The party stops and everyone in the club watches and cheers. This type of specialized treatment is what sets Lavo apart from other clubs and has helped to create a new standard in customer service. The truly amazing thing is that this is only one of twenty-seven different special presentations Lavo does!
Other notable presentations include sexy cheerleaders and army-girls. All so beautiful, they make you want to run out and enlist. Lavo is truly an appealing and popular place to party. Additionally, with elevated and posh VIP areas, Lavo truly does raise the bar for the ultimate nightclubbing experience.
The club is designed for the voyeur, meaning that no matter where you are, you have a great view of everyone reveling in the splendour of Lavo. The advantage of this, is that the hosts can move tables around anywhere in the club to centralize the party and attention in one specific area, while other guests can be moved into a better area. The result is no matter where you are in Lavo, you always feel like you’re at ground zero for party central.
