Why Compete? What was it that propelled you into competing?
The Challenge and Opportunity for Growth. Competing in figure is full of challenges, from the workouts to nutritional choices to the mental and emotional obstacles. Each of these challenges offers a great opportunity for greater self-mastery…and, who are we kidding, great abs and derriere!
What word of advice would you give to any aspiring competitor?
Do it for yourself and be yourself throughout the process. The sport is full of kind, supportive and knowledgeable people; however, like many endeavours in life, it is also easy to get caught up in the hype and drama of wanting others approval. Keep it real and let your beauty shine from the inside out while following through on a firm commitment to bring your “A” game on the day of the competition. Oh, yes, and hire a good trainer and coach- they’re worth their weight in gold.
What was your most memorable moment while competing?
Hearing my number called while winning the overalls. That felt really good.
Describe the first time ever you stepped on stage. Were you nervous?
I was shaking like a leaf! But I also felt so honored to be sharing the stage with so many great women, like the wonderful Erin Harding-Man.

And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou cans’t not be false to any man.”
