“O”: THE TIMELESS AQUATIC PRODUCTION BY CIRQUE DU SOLEIL ONLY AT BELLAGIO

Welcome to a place where all the world is water and the stage is all the world.

Cirque du Soleil weaves an aquatic tapestry of artistry, surrealism and theatrical romance in the breathtaking production, “O.”

Inspired by the concept of infinity and the elegance of water’s pure form, “O” pays tribute to the beauty of the theatre – from the simplest street performance to the most lavish of operas – where anything is possible and where the drama of life plays itself out before our very eyes.

“O,” phonetically speaking, is the French word for water (spelled “eau”). The international cast of world-class acrobats, synchronized swimmers, divers and characters perform in, on, and above a 1.5 million-gallon pool. Reflective of a 14th century European opera house, the “O” theatre seats 1,800 guests and was customdesigned to meet the unique demands of the show.

The recipient of many prestigious awards and honors including a THEA award in the live show category in 1999, honorary Entertainment Design Award in 1998 and the “best production show” for eight consecutive years 1999-2006 by The Las Vegas Review Journal, “O”  still shines as an elegant and stunning creation and is recognized as such by the industry, the press and the public.

Since its opening in October 1998, more than 10 million spectators have embarked on the dream-like voyage that is “O.” Over 6,000 performances later, this lavish production is still as enthralling as ever thanks to the passion of the 85 performers and 150 stage technicians that make “O” come to life.

From a group of 20 street performers at its beginnings in 1984, Cirque du Soleil now is a  major international organization providing high-quality artistic entertainment. Since its founding, Cirque du Soleil has thrilled over 100 million spectators in more than 300 cities on six continents. In addition to “O”, Cirque du Soleil presents Mystère at Treasure Island, Zumanity the Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil at New York New York Hotel & Casino KÀ at MGM Grand, The Beatles LOVE, CRISS ANGEL Believe at Luxor and Viva ELVIS at Aria Resort and Casino at City Center.
